I must admit, I’m a little shocked at this one, but tickets to Poison’s show in Nashville at Sommet Center are already showing up on eBay (writing this in April). I didn’t think there was that much of a demand to see Poison play, but I guess Rock of Love really helped boost their popularity. Anyway, make sure you bookmark this page when (if) you decide you want tickets to the Poison concert. They are playing July 8.

The University of Tennessee athletic department announced this week that students will now be required to purchase tickets to home football games. Tickets to other sporting events will remain available to students at no charge. I’m wondering if this means that students will now be able to sell their football tickets. They only pay $15 per ticket, which is lower than face value for regular tickets. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
The rotation of teams in the SEC West will have Tennessee traveling take on Auburn in Auburn on September 27, just one week after facing Florida in Knoxville.
Bon Jovi’s concert at Sommet Center is coming up fast–April 24! There are a lot of tickets up for auction already on eBay. I’ve seen some that are TicketFast tickets as well, so you won’t pay any shipping and handling, they can just be emailed to you. This should be a good show–Daughtry, which features Chris Daughtry of American Idol fame is the opening act.
NASCAR’s Sharpie 500 will be run at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol Tennessee in August. eBay already has a ton of tickets listed for this race, which is always sold out. There are also lots of tickets available for the Food City 250, which is run the same weekend. A lot of people like to make a weekend of it and attend both events, which isn’t a bad idea either.
